Ahmed Ragab is a professional chemical engineer with 18 years of experience in the petrochemical industry across multiple countries and regions. He’s worked from operations and R&D to business development. He’s helped huge corporates with product differentiation, creating new businesses, increasing profitability, and enhancing ecosystems. As Process Manager for LABIX and TPX affiliates, he led 2 process engineering teams for process improvements, spearheaded new projects in the affiliates, and provided technical consultancy for aromatic and linear alkyl benzene processes. As a Senior Scientist at SABIC, he leads the research, licensing, and technical support services for ABS technology, a high-performance thermoplastic resin used in various industries.
His core competencies include simulation and optimization, molecular simulation, process design, technical problem solving, engineering studies, HAZOP and LOPA, reliability, and big data analysis. He’s a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE), and he holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification and a diploma in big data analysis from the University of Queensland.
